I am a “new” writer who likes to write about the ups and downs of relationships, drama and mystery. I like writing about serious, ambitious men and the women who love them. I find it interesting how men and women from different cultures relate to each other and I tie that into my stories. I get my ideas from people I meet daily, family experiences and sometimes I take an experience I have had and spin it, twist it into what I want it to become. “Sins of the mother” I wrote without a clear plan of how it would end, each day I got up I wrote a paragraph, went to bed and tried to brainstorm a twist. The result is a story I can’t stop reading. I am sure you won’t be able to put it down either.

Counting down the days to get this book published. Reading it for the umpteenth time. Everytime I find a way to spruce up the language. Writing this has been so much fun and work.

My new book, “Sins of the Mother” due out by Christmas deals with the intricates of black love between Rianne and Xavier. Two complex lovers with a complicated love story. I sought to write a book that the average woman black or white could relate to without feeling offended by cultual issues – jargon etc. that tend to separate the races and cause or perpetuate division.

Sins of the Mother
For the last ten years, successful New York attorney Rianne Hazelton lived her life traumatized by her experience as a young bride in Accra, Ghana.
After discovering her British born husband of Ghanaian parentage had not only kept his child a secret from her, but also his Harvard educated wife, she fled the marriage.
Now ten years later, mature and successful, she is invited to St. Croix for her estranged sister’s wedding as maid of honor; only to discover the best man is the one man she fears the most, her ex-husband Xavier Osei.
As she battles the complex emotions and sexual tension between them, she is forced to acknowledge that nothing is exactly as it seems. Someone had set out to destroy their marriage. Before they can they unravel that mystery, they must confront his deepest and darkest secret about her mother which could destroy her for good.
